Close call during wicked weather
Author: WrongWayMurphy

The MKT runs right through the heart of tornado alley, so this scene should come as no surprise to many.

This on the T&P/MKT joint track at Argyle, Tex. in 2007.

That's cool, but better would be open up the box for a structure kit and pour it out next to the track.

Shane, ain't no way that wood shingle roof would still be on the structure being moved off its foundation.  Those shingles would be all over the place.

Well, in that wizard movie with the real Flying Monkees, the house landed with the roof in tact,
so that must be how things work in the real world too.

WWM, Is that an Alexander kit?  It looks like rubber/plastic shingles.

Is there a speed restriction when moving by the structure?

I was wondering the same thing.  Would be cool to have a flying monkey or a wicked witch flagging the close clearance.

Yes, Alexander,   I was thinking the shingles were vinyl, but rubber may be the material.
it is some kind of plyable material anyway.

As far as speed restrictions, the train is TheStocker, a red ball Kansas City to Fort Worth livestock movement,
and there is no provision for, slowing down.  Texans need their beef.
