Model Railroading > Glue Help Needed.Date: 09/21/20 13:59 Glue Help Needed. Author: RRBMail I have a gluing problem to solve and I would like TOs suggestion. The surface is a lightly textured acrylic paint and I need to affix to it several, tiny, and unpainted plastic detail parts. The bond must be as rigid as possible due to much moving about for shows. Any preferences? Thanks beforehand!

I concur with Original, Canopy glue is good with the vibration and movement. Use it on passenger car diaphragms too Date: 09/22/20 16:30 Re: Glue Help Needed. Your acrylic paint base is flexible and anything rigid will pop off in short order. A mechanical attachment is best but it doesn't seem like that is what you have. 1. Canopy glue from the hobby shop. 2. Weldbond from the hardware. 3. Loctite GO2 Gel from the hardware. 4. Martha Steward (yes!) gel adhesive from the craft store scrapbooking section. In any case, carry glue with you and be prepared to repair the display. |
