Model Railroading > Bringing Back The SP, Bayshore-Tracy Train, Randall Museum LayoutDate: 10/18/20 19:54 Bringing Back The SP, Bayshore-Tracy Train, Randall Museum Layout Author: FiveChime Just received new Athearn Genesis SP F7 6378 with 1959 transition paint from black widow.
For the nit picker like me, the model would of have to of been just when the paint was applied because later on the locomotive received a pilot plow. Also, all my photos show the locomotive with a Nathan M5 horn, not an M3, but actually with close observation the horn they have on the locomotive is a K3. Unit runs well with good sound and seems to be a good puller as with the SD9 and two other Fs, I was able to pull 38 cars up the 1.5% Randall Layout grades at slow realistic speed without incident. Not sure how long it has been there but at least ten years
since I've been involved with the layout. Regards, Jim Evans Date: 10/18/20 23:46 Re: Bringing Back The SP, Bayshore-Tracy Train, Randall Museum La Author: tracktime Hi Jim,
Your SP 6378 9ooks great! But isn't that an Athearn Genesis F7A, and not BLI? I know one of my friends just received one just like it made by Athearn (Genesis line). Cheers, Harry p.s. I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full. Date: 10/19/20 08:20 Re: Bringing Back The SP, Bayshore-Tracy Train, Randall Museum La Author: FiveChime Harry:
