Model Railroading > Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Fall Meet WeekendDate: 10/19/20 14:46 Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Fall Meet Weekend Author: BoilingMan This isn't really intended to be a report on the SVLS event itself, rather- I was there and enjoyed the 3 days of running. I was there as the guest of TO member Stevo_W. Stevo runs Yreka Western #19 (a 2-8-2) that is very close to finished. He's converted the locomotive from oil to propane and fabricated plenty of #19 specific details. (BTW: Steve fired the 1:1 #19 during it's last decade in California). With this meet behind her, the 2-8-2 will now head to the paint shop.
SR Photo 1. Stevo and the #19 stop for water alongside RGS #41, a SVLS regular (well... every time I've been there anyway) Photos 2-7. Night running! Night running is easily my fave part of SVLS meets. The "tunnel vision" aspect really enhances the already generous track mileage- it goes forever! Continued..
