Brass Dealer Inquiry
Author: bigmc83

Has anyone ever purchased from this dealer/site?  His prices are high, but he has a piece I'm intersted in.  The reason I ask is because the email address comes up as a dead end, and my inquiries on the website provided form go unanswered.

Thanks,

I sent an inquiry about a locomotive over a year ago. They wanted $3000 for an OMI locomotive that on a very good day would be worth $1200-$1500 tops. Since I really wanted the locomotive I sent them an offer of $1500. A few days later they replied and told me that their prices were "Non-Negotiable" with no other explanation. A few months later a friend of a good friend of mine  posted on Facebook that he had successfully purchased a unit from them and that the transaction was smooth....

I hope this information helps you. They are somewhat shady in my personal opinion.

The moment I read in their "History" that they "curate" electric trains, I thought to myself that snob appeal is the last reason I would buy their product.

After more checking, dont know how much I would trust this guy. He has a BHP Billiton AC6000CW for 3000. He says the the model number is AA-6010-1. Looked on Brasstrains which is the most reliable source and that number doesnt excist. They show 2 numbers. The first 2009 run is AA-6001-3 and current value is 1250. The latest run 2012 is also AA-6001-3 and its current value is 880. Cant believe he sells anything.
