Yes, Santa Fe did have two reefers painted white.

Rr-48 11334 was one reefer and photos are on the web. It did have a plug door. Another car, thought to be a Rr-53, but no photos exist.
The Nov/Dec 1982, Santa Fe Modeler, page 16, has a article about them.
