Model Railroading > CN Potash on Turkey DayDate: 11/26/20 19:48 CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: MrMRL Happy Thanksgiving folks, and to my Canadian modelers, I hope you all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Day back on October 12th.
Date: 11/26/20 19:49 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: MrMRL Here's some bulk commodity haulage around the club layout a day or so back. 62 HO scale NARC/PWRS 3-bay NSC potash hoppers, Rapido, Genesis, InterMountain horsepower up front.
1200 pixel images here... https://pbase.com/mrmrl/cn_models ~ Mr. MRL Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/26/20 20:00 by MrMRL. Date: 11/26/20 20:39 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: railstiesballast Wow! I clicked on our images on the home page thinking it was the prototype in a new location.
Your scenery shows how "less is more" here in several instances. Don't change a thing. Date: 11/27/20 03:35 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: acltrainman Fantastic scenery and pot ash train. Love the CN powering it.
Stanley Jackowski Valrico, FL Date: 11/27/20 06:25 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: tomstp Could not help but think of CN's practice of running trains so long that they only had a few sidings one would fit in delaying all the trains facing it.
Note the train exceeds siding length. Good photos. Date: 11/27/20 07:22 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: mully I love it when models don’t look like models but real railroads !!

~ Mr. MRL Date: 11/27/20 08:48 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: King_Coal I enjoy your scenery. Whether in raw blue form or finished as in this series. Good looking train to show it off.

Tim Costello Date: 11/27/20 12:44 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: ChrisCampi Sure has been fun to watch everything come together. Neat stuff for sure.
Date: 11/27/20 13:01 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: MrMRL Yeah, kinda sad to see the blue foam mountains all covered up.

Jim Bertone Quincy, MA Date: 11/28/20 08:46 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: inyosub WOW, Just catching the photos today but man I want that 1st on on my train Calendar. That is
one special image. I guess we know who buys all them hoppers LOL. Perfect! Date: 11/28/20 10:14 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: bnsftcdiv Very cool-I went with the Potash Corp cars because we see those over here as unit trains-but some Canpotex cars are getting mixed into the trains.
The Canadian National power also makes for a cool consist. I enjoy catching that on the BNSF past my window. It's a good change from the stuff I usually see. Keep the pics coming-they do inspire and be safe on the real rails! The first image (along with 4 and 6) are composites with multiple areas of focus stacked back on top of each other in Photoshop. I know there are automated software programs that accomplish this effect as well (certainly better than me), but it really isn't too difficult to achieve with a little basic Photoshop skill.
~ Mr. MRL Date: 11/29/20 14:01 Re: CN Potash on Turkey Day Author: u34ch a split rail DE-Rail. Nice. I will install one on my lay out. Am I the only one to spot it? Keep the pohto' coming.
