Evergreen mail order frustration
Author: webmaster

Have you ever had an order where it seemed that nothing went right and you could not get the merchanidise you ordered. Two weeks ago I ordered some styrene strips from Evergreen Models. They unfortunately ship by UPS so it took over a week to arrive by UPS ground. The order showed up and two of the items were the wrong item. Packing list was right, just the wrong item number put in the box.  Contacted them, they said ok, we'll send out the right ones, but we'll send you a label to send back the wrong ones.  I got a chuckle that they were going to spend $10 for me to send back what is probably $0.25 in plastic.  They were nice enough to ship it this time by 2nd day air.  Got the order yesterday and once again messed up. Even though the packing list said two were shipped, only one was sent.  Sent them an email again and the replacement is on its way  They have been nice through the process, but geez how can they stay in business with repeated messups?  It is like there is some force from above keeping us from getting our styrene.

Todd,

Call Brian or Bonnie at Mainline Hobby in Blue Ridge Summit, PA. 717-794-2890. Give them the Evergreen part numbers, they'll get the order right, I've been dealing with them for 30 years, never a glitch!

UPS is aways faster than either USPS or Fedex from anywhere to south central OR.

Indeed, I’ve had some long delays with USPS. I have a package with USPS that made it to Louisville on the 18th of Nov, sat there till the 7th of Jan and is still in transit to Denver according to tracking!

Then when it gets to my local post office they will deliver it a block over because the house numbers are the same and the street starts with the same letter. :-) Glad they are a good neighbor over there!

UPS and FedEx are still generally on time with various purchases so I avoid the Post Office if I have a choice.
