InterMountain Tier 4s On The Water

InterMountain Railway Company is pleased to announce that three paint schemes of the HO scale GE ET44AC (tier 4) locomotives are in Transit!  The BNSF, Union Pacific and Canadian National should arrive in time for shipping in February.  The remainder of the road names will follow.  Be sure to contact your favorite InterMountain dealer and make sure your reservations are in!

The InterMountain Model:
  • On the Outside:
    • New tooling with Angled Exhaust
    • Laser Sharp Painting and printing with Accurate Colors, Logos and Fonts
    • Numerous Printed Warning Labels as per Road Name
    • See-Through Etched metal Grilles on the body side and radiator cab roof
    • Rotating Bearing Caps on all 12 axle ends
    • Canadian National Locomotives featuring Illuminating Red LED DPU light on both ends
    • LED Headlights, Ditch Lights, Number Boards and End Walkway Lights
    • Accurate PTC Antenna Arrays per paint scheme and per road number
    • Wire Stair Handrails from the cab to the nose
    • Accurately tinted Side Cab Windows
    • Accurate 13 or 17 Louver Right Side Battery Doors per road name
  • On the Inside:
    • Heavy Die-Cast Chassis (1.6lbs) and powerful 5-Pole Motor for exceptional power pulling long heavy trains
    • Sound units are equipped with a 21-pin ESU LocSound® V5 DCC Decoder
    • Non-Sound Units are equipped with a 21-pin ESU lokPilot® V5 DCC Decoder

Good to see some locomotives moving.  Any idea how far out your long awaited SD38-2SD40-2/SD40T-2 might be?

Jeff,
No update on those.  The 16 road names of the GP16 are in production right now, so that typically means about 6 months or so until we get those.

Will there be a new round of pre-orders for the SD38-2s?

I presume my preorder went down the tubes with "that shop" in Denver.
