Model Railroading > Auto Parts West and the LocalDate: 02/21/21 11:43 Auto Parts West and the Local Author: railstiesballast Here are a couple more iPhone pix of my freelance SWP, now set up to be a 1996 SP operation.
In the first view the dynamic brakes of a DRGW tunnel motor and an SD-40M howl down the canyon, the APW will hold the main. The dispatcher pressed his luck a wee bit to get the local east up to Canyon but it turned out to be a nice sliding meet. In the second photo the rear man is out on the platform for the roll-by. This photo is the product of a focus bracketing set of 20 images taken with my Camera Pixels app on the phone and then run through Helicon Focus. If you look closely you can see a few odd little out of focus spots. I have about 50% success rate with CP vs. almost 100% with HF working with a focus stack from my DSLR but the iPhone can get down to eye level for picutes not possible with the big SLR. The local has shoving moves up the line so they have kept a "shoving platfrom" and I am not about to argue with them. Athearn made the locomotives and caboose, Atlas made the NW box and Kadee made the blue CT box.. Thanks for looking. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/21/21 11:45 by railstiesballast.
