Walthers G85 piggyback trailer
Author: rschonfelder

I just took delivery of this car  and what looked like a simple procedure of putting in the hitch, turned out to be not as obvious as I thought.  They are supposed to go inside the open channel but the hitches are wider than the width opening.  There are no explosion diagram for the car which might have provided a hint.  Does this require some sort of disassembly?

Gentle pressure worked for me. Might try trimming the side of the hitch since it will be where it can't be seen very well.

Thanks.  I was just wondering if we were expected to lift that lip off or something.  I just had my first round of cataract surgery so I think I will leave this minor assembly until I get some stability after the second eye and can use my optivisor..  I've lost all of my near sightedness so modelling is out right now.

Turn them sideways, drop them into the channel and twist lightly to align them.

Yup.. Insert at an angle/sideways, and twist to lock them in place.
