Red Emergency Brake Light for SP GE Locomotives?
Author: railstiesballast

I would like to find the manufacturer, part number, and maybe a supplier for at least two of theseHO scale light cases.
I put it on this locomotive decades ago.  It is a brass casting with a mounting pin down into the cab roof.
On the prototype it hold a standard Gyra-Light with a red lens that is activated by an emergency brake application.  I don't plan on lighting it up.
It might have been Details West, Detail Associates, or Utah Pacific, or someone I have forgotten about.
I want to set up a couple more old GE U-boats.
Any ideas?

That's Utah Pacific #71 - https://www.walthers.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=utah+pacific+71
If your shop can't get it, you can find it on that famous online auction site usually.

Cheers,
Harry

Tomar/Utah Pacific is produced by the same fine folks, Duane and Marie Prantle, who took over the Precision Scale Company parts. The reason they are available on the major auction site is their family runs the TJ Model Trains who lists inventory from estate sales, their production, and hobby shop.

The family includes the infamous Leroy and Sharon of PF&S Railway Supply near Pasco, WA.

I have seen it grow over the years Sharon did much of the work building when Leroy was working on the RR.  Quite a nice family and there stock is better than any hobby shop to see it in person takes quite a while to witness. And then there is Leroy to visit with that take an hour in itself.

That's one great looking casting! It appears it even includes wires out the back.

RoadRailer this was quite enlightening. As someone who had visited PF&S in the past and I think even ordered from;
I had wondered about the Prantle Connection.  I buy odds and ends from them often on that "auction site" as they
always seem to have those odds and ends.
Someone has a large lot of mostly GE Sunshine models engine specific lights. I don't know if they  sold but it was
a large lot and they wanted it to go in one large sale. (150bucks) may have been some lights in that lot too.
Sorry I looked hadn't kept the sale listing.
