Model Railroading > Embarassing QuestionDate: 03/05/21 15:59 Embarassing Question Author: texchief1 What is an easy way to open a Kato locomotive plastic box?
Thanks. RC Lundgren Elgin, TX Date: 03/05/21 22:17 Re: Embarassing Question Author: DevalDragon Not really an easy way - I've just become accustomed to it.
I hold the bottom with my left hand using one finger each on top and bottom. Using the other hand rock the lod until the right side is 15 degrees higher than the left (picture). At this point you can rock the lid back and forth and it should come off relatively easily. It's pretty much bullet proof when it's in there. Date: 03/06/21 11:01 Re: Embarassing Question Author: cabman Makes me happy I model HO and don't have to fight that monstrosity. The worst we have are those Atlas boxes with the model screwed to the plastic platform the same way Genesis did on those chunks of wood long ago.

SR Date: 03/06/21 18:48 Re: Embarassing Question Author: wabash2800 I purchased some Geneis HO locos recently and had a fun time figuring out how to get the locos out. I'm note sure if I can get them back in there again either.
