Model Railroading > Handrail replacementsDate: 04/01/21 12:18 Handrail replacements Author: NKPSOUTHERN Greetings all.
After a VERY long time of not building anything I decided to chop some Athearn Bluebox gp 50's into high hoods. My question is which handrail stanchions are you all using for replacements since it looks like Smokey Valley is out of business?? If you have it please send it along. Date: 04/01/21 16:04 Re: Handrail replacements Author: JayK KV models makes very detailed EMD style stanchions (KVmodels.com). Proto Power West - A Line sells stanchions that mimic the Athearn BB style - less detailed but very sturdy (ppw-aline.com).

I can’t remember the part numbers for their other stanchions at the moment.
