I loved watching B&O's SD7s and SD9s work long cuts of cars in the Yards and over the Hump. Again, your weathering is Top Notch !

"those things", as you refer to them, are Kadee #146 couplers. The locomotive had #5's installed as I received it. When I installed the Proto 2000 pilots, which came in a separate bag with the model, the #5's were not long enough to clear the pilot so the couplers could not swing properly from side to side. I had the #146's on hand, so they were my solution. Jim Date: 07/22/21 07:07 Re: Chessie SD7 Author: Jimmies calsubd Wrote:

It was given to me by a friend a few years ago, and is a pretty nice feature. There are supposed to be railings around the top of it, but they have come off. I'll have to work on getting some pictures of the hopper for you. Jim Date: 07/22/21 08:15 Re: Chessie SD7 Author: calsubd Jimmies Wrote:
