If you are speaking of the squeal that is pretty continuous that is the flange squeal from the Thrall coil cars. If you are mentioning the loud noise pulling into the yard... the sanding valve was set way to high, I have now adjusted it's volume so it is much less noticeable. Thank You for pointing that out, it encouraged me to go through the sounds to identify the culprit. It was only on the SD40-2. The SD45's were set properly. Thank You! a really nice 3-unit lash-up in one of my favourite colours. It's been interesting to watch the different speeds. IMHO too many modelers (this spoken in general according to my observations on several occasions) run their model trains way to fast. To get an authentic impression the speed needs to be adapted to the specific scene on the particular layout. Many curves f.e. determine a relatively low speed situation. Interestingly we invest a lot of money for highly detailed models and spend tremendous time to build authentic looking layouts in order to get as close to the reality. Thus an adjusted model speed helps to perfect the impression. I really like the starting sequence, when the SD40-2 is being started and begins to move, very cool!
