Model Railroading > Walthers HO 60’ NSC 5150sDate: 01/06/22 20:41 Walthers HO 60’ NSC 5150s Author: OnTheSiding Which of the Walthers 5150s are correct? I have read that ICMX, CRDX, and IC are pretty solid prototype matches, while some of the others are 5300s (such as CP). What about WFRX and FURX? I welcome your comments on these cars as they are nice. I already have some of the CP and CP/SOO, and they are nicely made and have plastic walkways...which will not warp. Etched metal is nice, but it tends to get wavy over time. Anyway, for about $22 each my CP examples are quite good, and they are also sturdy and well suited to handling. On some of my "better" covered hoppers, I have had stirrups come off easily and other parts get loose over time. These Walthers cars are a nice all-around product, ready for weathering...
