ScaleTrains CN/BCR 3115 ET44AC "BCR Heritage" ready for action

Hot off the SD card, a few pics to share of my just weathered HO scale ScaleTrains Rivet Counter ET44AC, CN 3115. Not gonna bore with the details, just the usual brush applied acrylic/enamel washes and peppering, with a dullcote seal.

1400x pics here...

Ok just one detail though, all the white handrails and grabs up front were dressed up with additional red paint around the edges and corners, per prototype. The way those red and white grabs 'pop' in the many available images online, just forced me to do it. A tiny brush, a little dab of bright red acrylic, and a steady hand, presto.

For whatever strange reason, it made me recall those amazing full page Overland Model Imports magazine ads from the late 1990s showing off the painstaking details Anjin added to some of their brass models for the modeling community.

Now just gotta decide what to run it with, modern day CN? Or toss it in with my other 1980s-1990s era BC Rail RWB units for some nostalgic LOLs.....

Great work Robby. That close-up nose shot really reveals the weathering detail.
