Model Railroading > Are all HO train engine decoders created =Date: 11/13/22 15:24 Are all HO train engine decoders created = Author: Highhood I have 2 scaletrains dcc equipped engines and a walthers dcc equipped engine. They go around my layout going
up and down grades at the same rate of speed with or without being hooked up to a consist. Received my first athearn genesis unit recently and just put it on the track . Unit slows down going up the grade and speeds up going down the grade. Is this standard for this brand of unit. As noted on the dccwiki.com webpages: "Back Electro-Motive Force (BEMF) [acts] as a governor. This feature prevents trains from slowing down or speeding up on grades."
Check the manuals that came with your locomotives on how to adjuse BEMF. Hakk Date: 11/14/22 14:04 Re: Are all HO train engine decoders created = Author: wabash2800 If your decoders have this feature...

Tsunami is what comes with Athearn loco's factory equipped, or past few years Tsunami 2. Ask Soundtraxx.
