Moscow, Camden & San Augustine
Author: Jimmies

Soon to be spotted into one of the local warehouses, for now this 50 footer sits out in the open after making it's way up from Texas.

Great job on the weathering. Also looks great without graffiti.

As much as I appreciate your comment about the weathering on my boxcar, I do wish that you would once and for all shut up about graffiti.  Particularly on a post that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with graffiti.  And I'd use much stronger language than this if I thought it would be permitted.

I think that is quite harsh. I deleted my comment as you dont deserve my praise. I feel the same as you Victor.

What I like about your MC&SA car is the understated weathering and early stages of rusting.
Less is more sometimes.

Sure, irritate him even more and then you guys wonder why people disappear from this site...

Nice car and a really cool, interesting weathering pattern on the roof Jim. Just curious, was it patterned after a prototype photo?

It was spot on.

I am sure he will sleep just fine tonight without it.

I doubt he cares.

As for me, a fantastic looking model.

I agree, this was nicely done.  So many weathering jobs begin to look like the car/engine/whatever, was just dunked in some dark paint.   Restraint is wonderful!

It's the little things like the resealed roof and the replacement door on one side of the car that make a big difference.
Of course the biggest thing is knowing when to stop on the weathering.

Just a quick question.  Which manufacturer makes this car?  Thanks in advance.

So, if you feel the same as Victor, I suppose that means that it's alright to raise the subject of graffiti on a boxcar that has no graffiti on it.  My conclusion then would be that I really don't care at all about whether I am "worthy of" your praise or not.  You must have a very nice view from your mountain top.
