A Canadian (or Canadien) invades the desert... SD60F revisited..

A CN SD60F leads a couple of UP locomotives through the desert...

So, a bit of an update on the Aurora Miniatures SD60F after a couple of weeks. I did the CV adjustments that Aurora Miniatures  recommended and I also did an extensive run in on the locomotive. Yes, I know, all models need a little break-in time but I rarely pay any attention to that. That said, I ran this locomotive continuously for 2.5 hours. Three levels of throttle and equal time in each direction. This smoothed out the locomotives operation tremendously. it now runs just as well as a typical Athearn Genesis model and not quite as well as a Scaletrains model. However, in a consist with two ScaleTrains locomotives it runs quite well. So, all in all, this model ranks up there with the top two manufacturers. Lighting wise, it is the benchmark.

Very nice weathering and scene.  The SW10 is cool!
