Model Railroading > Looking for a DC Proto C&O 2-8-4

My ancient C&O Kanawha, gave up the ghost some months ago, and the expert repair guy I use said he could do nothing with it. Apparently stripped gears in an inaccessible gear box.

Anyway, if any one has an operating one they might spare, please send me a private message. Though a confirmed NOT eBay user, I've even searched there for some time to no avail.

As a 1950s C&O modeler, the loss of the Kanawha leaves a huge hole in my motive power roster.  Again, this is for DC-only version.

You do know the DCC version can be easily converted to the DC only version, right?
 

You might be able to pick up a brass one for not much more than the price of a Proto.
