Rapido Amtrak E8

Been working on the Rapido Amtrak E8 with some weathering which I am not done yet also changing the number to another unit. And sine the photo I also removed the grabs and replaced those with wire grab irons. Also order some pilot steps from Highliner since these did not come with the steps

If you ordered an Amtrak unit, yes.

Actually, it looks like Rapido already blanked out the portholes for the Amtrak E8s - like on the Erie Lackawannas.

I feel the need to change the nose grabs on my EL E8.  Can you tell us which grab irons you used?

Looking great on the E unit.  That has that tired never washed look that was unfortunately the norm in their last days.  Rapido did a great job on these and they're perefect for a lot of areas modeled.  Here is my pair on a 1978ish Floridian with an F40 leading.  The consist in that era could be all Es (due to SDP40F problems), SDP40Fs, or a mix-match.

I use the Tichy grab irons, it will make a big difference
