Latest weathering project...
Author: atx_railfan

Recently weathered a pair of Athearn Genesis GP15-1s for a friend and very happy with how they turned out. Almost entirely done with Tamiya weathering washes and a few rounds of dullcote. It was my first time trying out the Tamiya washes and I see them becoming a standard piece of my weathering pallete moving forward.

Thanks for viewing!

Great work.
I have often thought of GP-15s as a "baby tunnel motor" due to the radiator and air intake configuration.

Nice work.

The weathering on the BN and other northern roads seems to be different color combinations than the other regions. The sooty colors and the accumulation on the trucks has a different look.

Nice backdrop as well, the over the hill suggestive industry works out great.
t4p.

Vallejo washes are fun to work with. I've discovered a cool way to apply pannel line washes. Dspiae makes a applicator similar to a fountain pen. Want to try it out as it looks like a interesting way ro apply washes. Keep weathering and trying new things. Thanks for sharing.
