Model Railroading > Unnumbered Scale Trains SD40T-2 8200-series units

Hey all - just a heads-up that Scale Trains has decided to offer unnumbered versoins of the 8200-series as-delivered SD40T-2 locomotives as part of their new tunnel motor series. They added a SKU for both DCC and DC versions earlier today.

Just want to make sure that those who might want unnumbered units have a chance to preorder. Thanks to Scale Trains for listening to customer requests and offering these units direct from the source!

Thanks for convincing them to offer the unnumbered units so I can model actual units that I've photographed before. Got my order in.

I'll also point out that you can easily model an as-delivered 8500-series unit too with a simple swap of the dynamic brake housing to the earlier pre-silencer version as used on earlier runs of STX Tunnel Motors, as well as other units in this new run....
