Forgive me Father, for I have sinned
Author: WrongWayMurphy

Priest : and what have you done to request this forgiveness?

Me : I took a bloody nose CottonBelt B40-8 and painted it in the black widow scheme

Priest :  that is not very troubling my son, say three hail Mary's. Is that all?

Me :  Not quite.  I took a factory painted Union Pacific SD60 Athearn Genesis locomotive, stripped the paint, and repainted and decorated it for the mighty Texas &Pacific.

Priest : well you probably upset some UP fans, but that's nothing to get too concerned about.
say 10 hail Mary's.  Now is that all?

Me :  Just one more indiscretion.  I took a Walthers B40-8W Santa Fe warbonnet and stripped
it down to paint it in the 1960's MKT scheme.

Priest : not the John Deere scheme?

Me : No the Barriger red scheme

Priest : 50 lashes in the dungeon.   Only your honesty is keeping you from purgatory.

Great work! You have nothing to repent my child, model railroads work in very mysterious ways!

That's funny! Great work! I think we are all going to model railroad hell for doing unforgivable things. LOL!

You have a sharp eye.  I could lie and say it was to preserve a small piece of the Warbonnet,
but I don't want to go to eternal damnation so the real reason is that so I didn't have to scrape
off the numbers on the lit numberboards and renumber them.

Oh, and Father, I also ran 3466 through a switch.

For that you need 10 Our Fathers, and for the track crew that had to fix it, 2 pizzas and a case of Lone Star.

If ya knew this guy (Murphy) you would be only mildly surprised.  And by the way, never challenge him to do anything because he will.
