Earlier today I watched a video on a channel by BLI.  They had a couple of preproduction samples of the car and demonstrated how the lighting is controlled.  They mentioned that the cars are due by the end of the year.

There was a mention of upcoming projects including a version of the 4014 with the PTC equipment.

Also of interest was a brief display of CAD drawings for the UP inspection car Fox River and power car 2066 as future projects.

Sounds like BLI is pleased with the preorders for the Kenefick.

Looking forward to the UP business cars.

UP equipment always seems to do well. Glad manufacturers are doing more one offs for sure.

I would hope that someone recognizes the number of pre Conrail OCS owners and the post Conrail owners that still have the same cars. NYC Obs to PC to Conrail Blue to Conrail Pullman Green to either CSX or NS all basically the same car. Now that we have the OCS motive power all we need are the cars !! ------- Ken 

Very good to see a quality model coming out of the 2066 power car, along with all the other cars BLI is doing in the UP Heritage Fleet that fill in some of the gaps from the Walthers offerings. Their September newsletter did say they are looking into business car fleets for other roads including some fallen flags. I hope they do some of these in N as well as HO.
