Model Railroading > Carquinez interlude...Date: 06/24/25 18:01 Carquinez interlude... Author: Notch16 Had a nice time running by cordial and much-appreciated invite on the Crockett layout of the Carquinez Model Railroad Society.
Not sure how my five-car San Joaquin Daylight got routed through Davis Junction, but I could not have cared less -- it looked right at home, and it's so great to operate! Athearn Genesis SDP45 with 1969-era detailing and a Rapido Nathan M3 horn casting with Scale Sound System speakers; an Economy Baggage Car from The Coach Yard; Automat, Artic Chair, and Shasta Chair from Union Terminal Imports. The BART train was a grab shot. Who could resist another Rapido photobomm? ~ BZ ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 06/24/25 18:08 Re: Carquinez interlude... Sacramento (don't throw stones, boys); a little east of Davis and heading east; Crockett in the shadow of the California & Hawaiian Sugar Company (a scene I remember from the ground and from aboard the short, sad late 1960s Daylights. ~ BZ ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 06/25/25 14:03 Re: Carquinez interlude...
