Model Railroading > Wheels for Exactrail Vert-A-PacDate: 11/30/25 13:39 Wheels for Exactrail Vert-A-Pac Author: skokieswift Hello Board:
I need to get replacement wheels or trucks for an Exactrail Vert-A-Pac because the wheels will not turn at all in the trucks; yes, I tried using a MicroMark truck tuner but that didn't help Unfortunately I bought this car used so who knows what was done to it before I got it. Am I correct in assuming they they are 28' diameter? Any recommendations on brand: Kadee vs. Intermountain and replacing the wheels vs. a full truck/wheel changeout? BTW, I have several of these cars and no problems with any except this latest one. Thanks in advance SkokieSwift Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 11/30/25 13:45 by skokieswift. I'd lean toward Intermountain's pointed metal axles for easier rolling. But that's just my 2¢ .
