Model Railroading > D&H local through the switchesDate: 02/22/26 06:59 D&H local through the switches Author: Pattenburg With winter here in the northeast being cold, snowy and any other adjectives one wishes to describe it as, I decided to rework my layout to keep me busy during these gloomy weather days. That work involved doing some rewiring and track realignment. Saturday marked the first "local" train through those reworked stretches of track and I have to say it went well - no derailments for the D&H! As to why I favored the D&H dates back to when I visited my godmother in Olyphant, PA which was right along D&H's Carbondale Line. Next to CR, the D&H rates highly as my favorite railroads and reminds me of those visits back then.
