Putting the C-415 to work
Author: funnelfan

Saturday was a operations day at the Caldwell Model RR Club in Caldwell, ID. I ran two trains with my Bowser Columbia & Cowlitz Rwy C-415 #702. The first train was a favorite of mine, the Wilder Branch. The first photo shows the switch job in the yard on the branch next to the large Simplot frozen foods plant that ships out french fries and hash browns. I've already switched out the industries and just need to build the outbound train to return to Nampa. The second job was the Cascade Turn which was a simple run up the mainline to the sawmill at Cascade and return to Nampa. The photo shows the train coming back down the grade. Shortly the train will stop to drop the UP boxcar at Cabarton.
I already have the locomotive torn apart on my workbench as I'm adding a engineer in the cab and a notch in the roof for the recessed horn, as well as rerailer frogs to the side of the fuel tank. Getting into the cab of this locomotive is rather very difficult.
