More work on the Bowser C-415
Author: funnelfan

I was wanting to add a engineer to my Bowser C-415, but had not notice just how high the cab interior was in the Bowser C-415 until someone mentioned it. The Chehalis Western model is stock, and you can see the seat sits above the window sill!  And it didn't need to be that way. Only the very rear wall of the cab is above the decoder. The interior of the cab has lots of room below where it normally sits. I mocked up the interior at various levels to see where the engineer would look best. I figured out that if the bottom of the interior was flush with the bottom of the window glass on the inside sides, the engineer would be about the right height. So by adding some styrene strips to the bottom of the interior they would catch the bottom of the window glass on the sides. I cut out the floor around the engineer's seat and control stand to make the engineer sit a bit lower and give the interior more depth, but that is a optional method. I'm going to paint the rest of the floor black so the lack of depth would be less noticable through the windows.
I also cut a notch in the roof for a recessed horn and added a air line for the horn that is on the prototype. I will paint it B&O Royal Blue prior to installing the horn.
I can get the CLC #702 very close to the prototype with the modifications I'm making, but the Chehalis #684 is almost hopeless. I would need to 3D print a whole new cab and steps to even get close.

last pic. I also removed the cab interior light and the unrealistic post it sat on.
