Model Railroading > GlueDate: 03/01/26 15:47 Glue Author: SD608708 Since Model Master glue is hard to find, found 1 for $40.00 today, what brand glue is everybody using now days?
Paul Boggs Canton, GA Date: 03/01/26 15:48 Re: Glue Author: wabash2800 It depends on the application. What are you using it for?

Paul Boggs Canton, GA Date: 03/01/26 17:29 Re: Glue Author: wabash2800 Plastic, wood or metal? Many use 'super glue" for all three, but I'd rather solder brass, use a waterbased glue for wood and a solvent for plastic.

It takes a bit longer to set but just holds well over time and being flexible is a bonus. Plus you can remove it if necessary in the future.

I still use a model masters bottle with the thin metal tube from decades ago. i refill it by squeezing out the air then sucking up plastic cement from another bottle. I cap it by inserting a brass wire that has a bent handle at the top, and that keeps the tube clear of dried glue.

Both should be very easy to find, and I use both depending on the nature of the plastic joint. Date: 03/03/26 10:25 Re: Glue Author: SP4360 What he said.
