I brought along some Pacific Electric stuff, WAY out of context for this layout, but Hey... Photos 1&2. PE 5210 (AS-616) passing through Davis CA (?!!) Photos 3&4. ..and crossing the bridge at Banicia (also alarming). A word about the PE caboose: This was an easy One-Night-Wonder project. The PE had, I think, 10 of these- basically an SP C-30-1 without a cupola. So, I took a Walthers C-30-1, removed the cupola, sanded the roof smooth, and added a thin sheet of styrene- trimed to fit. When my dad had a deskjob the last two years at Travis AFB, he moved the family to Davis. I was there from 6th grade until college - it was a great town to grow up in. And train watching as a bonus!
