Model Railroading > Rapido on Tour!

Hey everyone! Just a heads up, we have a several events we'll be attending over the next week or so that you won't want to miss out on. Jordan and our good friend Vic Yoder will be at all the events from June 27Th through the 2nd and Jason will be joining for the meet-and-greet at the Train Shack on the 6Th and Des Plaines Hobbies on the 9Th. If you're in the area, we look forward to seeing you there!

Here's the schedule of events:

• June 27Th 9AM to 5PM, Bay Area Prototype Modelers Meet — Kensington, CA
• July 1st July 1st, 6PM to 8PM, Reed's Hobby Shop — La Mesa, CA
• July 2Nd 2PM to 6PM, Arnie's Model Trains — Westminster, CA
• July 6Th 3PM to 6PM, The Train Shack — Burbank, CA
• July 7Th-9Th — Southwest Chief to Chicago
• July 9Th 6PM to 9PM, Des Plaines Hobbies — Des Plaines, IL

I noticed that Pasadena's famous "Original Whistle Stop" is not on the Rapido tour, anyone know why?

Maybe it's not that famous.

Vic spoke to Fred about it, and they aren't yet set up enough in the new location to have that kind of crowd.

We will hopefully visit on our next trip!

And when are you going to hit Central/Northern California, which fundamentally means The Train Shop in Santa Clara? If it were not for The Train Shop, we north-of-SoCal folks would probably have no recourse except to model biplanes, or something. The horror!

EO, your question might better be framed as when is Rapido coming back to The Train Shop as they were there almost exactly a year ago (19 June 2025, 2-5 pm).  I don't know where else they went last year but my guess is they might be trying to spread their visits around from year to year.

Well there you go. Humpf! Dennis never told me that Rapido was coming. Or maybe I was not paying attention when he did. One or the other.

Looks like you missed the NorCal stop by a day.

Is Rapido going to the national train show? In typical NMRA fashion, I cannot find much info about the show.
