This is kinda wild. ScaleTrains is modeling the unpainted spray foam that was applied to the underside of this new generation of Trinity insulated boxcars. It's not something you can readily notice unless the underframe of the car is above you, although you can see a little bit of it on the ends of the cars.

My modern era layout needs some 'beer can' boxcars. However, these are the new replacements, so glad these are being done. I've ordered some already.
