Model Railroading > Any P&S modelers here ?

I picked up a couple of the Rapido SW-9's in the P&S Bi Centenial scheme. Have decided to paint a pair of the GP-7's up one #357 ex RDG in the Red/White /Blue scheme and #10 in the just blue scheme. Looking to match the Rapido RWB colors. Any ideas out there . I switched to Tru Color paints awhile back from my Floquil/Scalecoat days . The white is no problem but the Red and Blue have many potential choices. Thanks, Ken

What was reccomended to me in the Tru Color brand was 005 white , 020 SF Blue and 022 SF red. The solid Blue unit seems to be a different shade of blue so I ordered some 120 MP Jenks Blue to see what that looks like. Should be here next week and I will see if it matches the SW units. ---  Ken

I'm thinking the 2 all blue units were very close to CR blue.

Thanks Paul, I do have some CR blue in Trucolor so that may take care of the blue for the all blue Geeps. ---Ken 

It's not CR Blue.

To me it looks like Insignia Blue.

They never looked that bad when the Shawmut owned them.

Very true! I had to inspect those locomotives prior to the sale of the railroad to Genesee & Wyoming. The P&S master mechanic (Dave ? - can't remember his last name) kept the fleet very clean and well maintained.
