Rapido dropped their latest newsletter to subscribers today, including an announcement of their second run of CF-7s. I see among the road names is the Santa Cruz, Big Trees & Pacific, which for those who don’t know is a common carrier railroad currently surviving on passenger excursion revenues between Felton and Santa Cruz in central California.

I’ve been kind of wanting these for about 30 years now and was always a bit disappointed Athearn never made them.

I saw that as well and jumped on a pre-order for the 2641.  With my wife's family from the Bay area and her neice living in Santa Cruz, it was a no brainer.  I predict these will go as quickly as the Rapido's Grand Canyon Railway and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic FPA4s.

Interesting, all the releases this go around are all square cabs.

I'm interested. Particularly if the new Decoder Buddy V8 works out.
