Date: 02/07/07 21:21 Re: STL to KCY Author: Railrev It kind of got lost in the thread on Connections and Networks, but the connection going the other way, from Southwest to an eastbound train to St. Louis requires an all day stay in Kansas City.
This is not to demean Kansas City or the museum and other interesting sights around Union Station, but with a little tweaking of the schedules, passengers could make a very timely connection. IIRC the SWC arrives at 7:26, but the train to St Louis leaves at 7:15. If the SWC arrives early, you have no checked baggage and good legs, you might makes it, but it would require separate tickets. Seems like it would make sense to tweak the schedule a little. Date: 02/08/07 08:42 Re: STL to KCY Author: XMOP Railrev Wrote:

We made it with about an hour to spare and made the connection with the morning train to St. Louis. According to the station agent that was the norm and they regularly transfer checked bags if the connection is available. The schedule that you are seeing now may be the results of adjustments made to accomodate the major trackwork of last summer and next. Hopefully it will be adjusted back when this work is complete.
