Ski Train This Morning At Crescent (CO)
Author: mojaveflyer

A friend and I decided to see what we could find on the UP's Moffat Tunnel Sub west of Denver this morning. We knew we had the Ski Train attempting to get out of town (after crossing BNSF's South Main) and there were probably a couple of freights to follow him out of town. We went immediately to Crescent siding and set up there. After about 40 minute wait, we were rewarded with the Ski Train making track speed past us, showing the customers why Colorado is a neat place to live.

Photo #1- The Ski Train approaches the crossing at Crescent and putting on a pretty good show for those of us track side.

Photo #2- The dome car passes us and the passengers get their first real good view of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.

Photo #3- The lounge/observation car goes by with a couple of the passengers enjoying the mountain air.

Thanks for looking!

Great shots and nice to see the Ski Train in its "fallen flag" paint scheme if you will. It looks pretty sharp!

Great shots. What crews that train Amtrak or U.P.? That question was asked a couple of days ago and I don't know, need an assist, thank you.
