It definitely is gorgeous--------Lucius Beebe and Chuck Clegg's taste interpreted by a Hollywood set designer, IIRC. Also, the Pellitzers' have a reputation as marvelous hosts.

Yes, Burt and Al along with Chris and Debbie from TUT sure put on a nice trip for everyone. That is definitely the only way to travel by train. We couldn't have asked for better weather, or running times.

Did the LA Times reporter say when the article would be published?

He is a free lancer who is writing the article for the LA Times. It "might" appear in the travel section in the next month but it is an "evergreen" article, not tied to a particular event or time of the year so can show up anytime. I'm sure he'll let me know when he knows!!
