Passenger Trains > New River, West VirginiaDate: 12/27/09 12:25 New River, West Virginia Author: cutboy2 Have been in the Gorge many times. Is there some special problem that prevents CSX from getting the line open 8 days after a snowstorm!! ?? Yes it is steep. Trees grow on the slopes. Like lots of other places. Any inside first hand knowledge of why the lack of progress opening the CARDINAL ROUTE!!???

I guess there is a whole trainset sitting in Sunnyside not earning revenue. The agent in Cincinnati has no new info, other than it was suppose to run thru today (it did not).
Lets hope Amtrak does not use this opportunity to pull a Sunset Limited and can the train. I would not put it past them. |
