Passenger Trains > When Luck's on Your SideDate: 05/30/11 20:35 When Luck's on Your Side Author: SF3751 Stopped by the depot on a cold December night in 2010 with just my camera, and this was the result. This would be Amtrak 703 @ Hanford, CA.

The Hanford station is a nice place to photograph with the gentle curve through its platform, and the beautifully restored old Santa Fe depot. Thanks for sharing this.

Mid-afternoon the high sun makes it challenger to get a good angle for a train going in either direction. Westbound trains are generally the hardest to shoot at that time. if you look to the far right of the picture you'll notice a blur between the nose of the BNSF unit and the edge of the picture as a southbound manifest met the 703 after it stopped. |
