Was in down town San Diego this afternoon, and saw the 503/505 coupled back to back at the Depot. Also down at the SD&IV yard was the two FRA test cars.

The d8s pulled the FRA car from LA to SD. They should be added to the rear of a morning Surfliner (likely 567)

Wonder why they wanted two units vs one for the run? Seems like that limits spare power in 8th St.
