are you at liberty to mention the "conditions" upon which this conditional agreement is based?

Although UNP has issued a number of press releases about its service partners (Pacer into Mexico, etc) in recent days, I haven't seen one on this deal yet.

Thanks.

As one who deconstructs texts for a living, I see lots of red flags here.

I'm nothing more than a shareholder so I have no further info. I would be interested in knowing that info. as well. I know there's been people on this site that have said they would NEVER get an agreement with UP. Well............ here it is! Course I'm not one to say "I told you so!" So I won't! lol...

All the naysayers need to realize that if you throw enough money at ANYTHING, it can happen.

Not that it's a done deal but I'm hoping to see them succeed!

<flame away all you basement computer know-it-alls>

Is this an agreement or a willingness to talk about an agreement? It seems to me that UP is willing to talk about it, nothing more.

So when was the last time you were in Las Vegas to check out the "progress" or visited the secret site where the purchased Bi-Level cars are stored?

I'm hoping someone will revive a rail service between Las Vegas and SoCal, too.

Maybe UP has decided that the fastest way to kill the project is to play along with them.

"signed a conditional agreement" - sounds like a bit more than just "talking" about it, doesn't it?

No it doesn't. By analogy from the film industry, which I have some connections to, the first step is to sign a conditional agreement, or some such. That means you agree to talk about it, but nothing has been decided. Most of these "conditional agreements" go nowhere, although sometimes money can change hands.

Suggestion - why don't some of you train guys connected with UP, check it out through your own sources? I for one would love to hear what UP has to say about all of this!

Actually, it's the job of the management at Las Vegas Express Railway, Inc., to provide the best possible information to its shareholders, one of whom is you. If you must rely on TO members to get the UP side of the story, it speaks volume about how you are being treated.

I regard this new press release as a damage control response to an article published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, regarding the conflicting reports about XTRN and agreements with various railroads, including BNSF and UP. So nothing much has changed since we last heard about XTRN, IMO

I await news of a station contruction at Yermo or Daggett in case BNSF refuse to agree. Gotta have a Plan B, ya know? :-)

I'm not aware of any LVRJ article but would love to see it. As an ex-broker and 25 years experience working with public companies I understand what an issuer's responsibilities are to its shareholders. There is certain information... like specific details of an agreement, that an issuer is not always required to disclose. I am not speaking specifically about this agreement but I know in general, that is reality.

The link was already posted in another thread you started. Are you saying you don't follow up on your own thread?
