Private investment group, as noted in earlier post about Tide extention, presented plans to
Va Bch city council on Friday night. 3 stations, 2 to be elevated, in 5.2 extention to reach and at this point in time, to terminate at a ground level station just west of Rosemont Rd in Va Bch.

All 3 stations are adjacent to interchanges with the Va Bch expressway. The private group says the proposed extiontion would serve 45% of Va Bch's population.

Town Center, the non tourist commercial heart of the Beach, is adjacent to the planned Independence Blvd stop. The city owns land SE of the road rail intersection that it banked to build a future multi level parking lot. At the Witchduck Rd intersection there is a large plat of land formerly occupied by large lumber yard and construction supply company in the NE quadrant of the intersection. I do not have info on the real estate aound Rosemont Rd.
