Passenger Trains > Streetcar watching from afarDate: 06/21/13 15:39 Streetcar watching from afar Author: DNRY122 One of my daily habits is to check the Market St. Ry. website (streetcar.org) and see what the Muni "F" line is doing. For example, today, I took a look and found none of the Milano trams in service, and saw 1006 and 1008, the two "Green Torpedoes" coming up the "J" line and going into service on the "F". Note that in the old days, the "torpedoes" (double ended cars) were rarely seen on the "J". Muni also had 1061, the Pacific Electric tribute car, and 1080, the LA Transit Lines NCL "Fruit Salad" car in service--catching these two passing each other would be a prize photo for a Southern California fan. If I can't get to The City, I bring it to the computer with the magic of the Internet.
