In any normal country this would have been done several decades ago when this area first became what it is.

Here, it's been discussed constantly ever since we moved to the US and Philly in 1990. Instead, nothing was ever done (except some highway improvements), and the area is chronically traffic jammed.

So glad I don't work out there....

They have been talking of doing this for 40 years - for the Bicentennial

Maybe it will be done by the Tricentennial in 2076!

If it's the High Speed Line that would be extended, that doesn't square with a rumor I heard last month that the Schuylkill River Viaduct is in such poor shape, with no funds for capital repairs, that the line may be truncated short of the river.

Extended via a branch off the existing line.

Norristown is the wrong way....

If there are no funds to rebuilt the viaduct, there are no funds to go to KofP

Some would that a place like King of Prussia would never be built in most normal countries. Instead the cores of large urban areas and small towns would continue to be vibrant places to live, work, shop, recreate and get educated. To serve these areas, existing public transportation infrastructure and services would be maintained and improved.

Ah, the joy of living in the good old USA where cars get more respect than a lot of people, and transit is thought of as some sort of socialistc plot.

When I saw "K of P" I first thought of "Knights of Pythias", a fraternal order, then realized that it was that suburb of Philadelphia named after a European monarch.

The "Plan" is to have a one way ride from KOP to / from Norristown, or from KOP to / from 69th St.

I've been involved in this for a few months.

I hope it moves forward.
