Passenger Trains > "Heading for Warmer Climes..."

Both Amtrak Westbound Trains #5 and #3 made their way out of Chicago in the middle of a blizzard this afternoon. Here they are, blasting through the snow and down the BNSF Chicago SD in the western suburbs. Both trains departed Chicago on time. "California or Bust" ... Oh oh, perhaps I shouldn't say that, huh?!

Thanks for heading out for these. Out here in Lawrence, KS, its 23, so certainly warmer than up there, but not exactly balmy.

Nice pictures.

I-65 was once again closed all day due to truck jack-knifes and trailer fires. All from just one inch of snow. At least the fire smelled good...it was pallets of frozen pizza among other things.
