Passenger Trains > [FL] "Carl Domino voted for SunRail"

Posters with this message have appeared all over the Treasure Coast (northern Palm Beach County, Martin County, southern Indian River County) prior to yesterday's election.

Carl Domino = a Florida state legislator who describes himself as a conservative
SunRail = a commuter railroad project in the Orlando area which has the strong support of John Mica and others

The signs are the work of Beverly Hires, one of several Republican contenders, along with Domino, for the opportunity to challenge liberal Democrat Patrick Murphy in this generally conservative US House district. Hires believes that Domino betrayed conservative values by voting in favor of the train during Domino's service in the Florida legislature. SunRail doesn't come any where near this district, although the All Aboard Florida effort is no longer widely supported in the area from what I can tell.

Domino won, Hires lost. Domino gets to face Murphy in November. SunRail is now operational.
